Stanley Park is known for its vastness and proximity to the ocean and city. The renovation proposition brings the city's modernity and the ocean's form into reality. The canopy creates an image of an Orca whale emerging from the water. Orca whales are one of the many natural beauties of Vancouver for residents, making it perfect for a space that brings community members and visitors together. Even in the Coast Salish First Nations’ belief, the Orca whale symbolizes family and community and safely brings travellers home.
