About the Home…

In a remote area in Elvina Bay, this home does not rely on a town’s resources to run. Home to two environmental researchers, it provides an ideal space to study the natural world and sustainability. The building's materiality was heavily considered, including the rammed earth and the use of wood. Shading devices and passive strategies allow for less solar power to be used. In this humid climate, the home is practical and an oasis.
